| I’m a worship leader at my core. There’s nothing in this world that even comes close to leading people to the throne room of God.
Everyone has a personal bend toward a style of worship but when it comes right down to it, I say use the style that stirs your heart, that helps you enter into a place where your mind and heart are wholley given over to Him; that place where you forget about yourself and your eyes are filled with His Glory, His Love, His Mercy. Hey, maybe you get there more easily by simply reading the Word or through prayer… awesome. Just get there! Worship is so much more than a song, it’s our entire lives offered to Him on a moment by moment basis. I love songs that are full of joy, that let us rejoice and clap our hands for ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength’. I love songs that are sweet and quiet and intimate, that bring us to an awed silence. I love rockers that are meaty and beefy but with profound thoughts that challenge us to walk in the light of eternity. My prayer is that the songs God has graciously given to me will fit somewhere into your life to help bring you to that place where Christ is all and in all. |
